Who should do studio Pilates?

PILATES is a safe form of exercise for people of any age or body type, male or female, as programs are individually tailored to your body and its specific needs.  Pilates Strengthens, Lengthens your body.

Pilates exercise can help you prevent or recover from injury, manage pain or chronic conditions or improve your conditioning for a variety of sports. It is also ans amazing compliment to other workout regimes, adding toning, stretching and core control. 

For the sports minded, this form of exercise is a great way of helping to strengthen and improve your general condition and performance as a dancer, cyclist, swimmer, runner or other sports pursuit. It does this through improving or correcting body alignment, trunk stability, movement and muscle firing patterns, strength and flexibility.

Foresi’s Individualized Training offers dancers and dance studios the opportunity to enrich their training process.  With over 20+ years experience in Physical Therapy, Pilates, Sports Specific Training and Gymnastics; Coaching and Training, FIT offers Dance Specific options including the following:

  • Dancers’ Body Alignment and Body Work sessions

Core Principles Training at FIT

 

Core Principles will allow your athlete  to have a concentrated application of the general principles in Pilates.  It will incorporate body positioning, breathing, and terminology, on the mat, reformer, wall tower, discs, combo chair ladder barrel,  and Cadillac Trapeze. This training will allow your athlete to be able to participate in any FIT Pilates group training or pop ups in the future. Pilates Group training takes place in a full Balanced Body Studio setting.
